Local wake word
Listening for its name happens on the device. Audio only leaves the device after the wake word, and parents can review when.
Physical mute switch
A hardware switch cuts the microphone at the circuit level — visible to the child, obvious to the parent.
Parent-governed brain
The device talks only to the RAFEEQI gateway: allowlisted topics, time windows, and summaries parents control from the dashboard.

A working draft we share openly with manufacturing partners — details will evolve through prototyping.
